Thanks. Am I to understand that the VGA driver has something to do with audio? Shouldn't there be an audio device for HDMI in Windows? I would also like to know: I have downloaded all the drivers for this system. I am going to do a fresh install. This is used for HTPC and there's nothing I need to keep. What drivers are specifically needed for Windows 10 Pro 64-bit? I know I don't want to install "Super-Fast LAN" because, from my past experiences, that creates super-slow Internet speeds. I found it cut my Internet speeds in half. From the list of drivers: Realtek high definition audio driver ver:7560 INF driver ver:10.1.1.18 Realtek Lan driver ver:1001_05292015 Intel Sideband Fabric Device ver:604.10125.2655.573 Intel Trusted Execution Engine ver:1.1.4.1145 VGA driver ver:15.33.37.64.4242 ASRock 3TB+ Unlocker utility ver:1.1.1 ASRock A-Tuning utility ver:2.0.95 APP Shop ver:1.0.35 Norton Security ver:22.5.1.7 Restart to UEFI ver:1.0.5 ASRock XFast LAN utility ver:10.10 I know many of these like Norton and the Tuning utility are optional. Can you mark my list with * for those that definitely should be installed? Thanks.

After a fresh install of Windows 10, the Sound section contained an HDMI device but reported it as "disconnected". When I installed that VGA driver you listed, it first warned me that my existing drivers were already newer, but I installed it anyway. During the installation, the HDMI audio device was removed from my Windows Sound devices. Now I have only the SPDIF, Speakers, and Sony TV listed devices.

Dear TE5LA, Thank you for your further question. VGA driver driver includes the display audio driver. For audio device for HDMI please refer to the example below: In this picture H277HU monitor would be the HDMI device. When installing Windows, the necessary drivers will be 1. INF driver ver:10.1.1.18 2. Intel Trusted Execution Engine ver:1.1.4.1145 3. VGA driver ver:15.33.37.64.4242 4. Realtek Lan driver ver:1001_05292015 5. Realtek high definition audio driver ver:7560 We recommend you to follow the orders above to install drivers. In addition, other drivers depends on users preference. Hopefully I have answered your question. With thanks, ASRock TSD |
