Hi,
Several bugs BIOS 1.92 and BIOS 1.9 BIOS 1.92 --> totally unstable, default settings would freez, or mouse slugish, or crash and reboot the system, all using default settings. Also would NOT boot from CD Win 10 if RAID enabled. _________________ BIOS 1.9 --> A. Better but could NOT enable XMP initially, would try and get error 56, finally after several cemos clears booted with XMP profile, please see attachment for all the specs. B. CPU_FAN2 and CHA_FAN4 switched in manual/diagram/BIOS, please check. C. Full HD UEFI when set to auto chose 1024 x 768 NOT the higher resolution, monitore Dell UP25160 (DP), can support 2560 x 1440 ! D. Post Status Checker; the red video light is always on, my video card seems to be functioning perfectly, why the light. Please see the attached file with all the CPU, MD, GPU settings etc. PCMI-D.txt and Issues.rtf. I don't have the Z170 OC Formula board, so I cannot verify everything you've said is wrong.
Yours is the first report of problems with these UEFI versions, but I'm not saying that means they aren't there. The PSC video LED being on may indicate a problem with the card's compatibility. That is also hinted at by the strange resolution in Full HD UEFI being 1024 x 768. I've never had problems with Full HD UEFI, even with monitors beyond 1920 x 1080, the maximum of Full HD UEFI. CPU_FAN2 and CHA_FAN4 are very close together, the manual indicates the top header is CPU_FAN2, the one below is CHA_FAN4. You're saying the controls for each header are reversed in the 1.90 UEFI, but were correct in earlier versions? This board has an XMP switch, near the Dr Debug display. You may need to set it to on to get XMP easily enabled in the UEFI. What optical drive are you using? Seems to be connected to an Intel SATA port. Sky OC is available in UEFI 1.92. Default settings may not have a standard BCLK speed, which would be a bug IMO. I can't tell anything from the system specs you posted, they really aren't settings for the most part. |
