x99 extreme6/3.1

   hi have a question.
I checked the product page for the x99 
extreme6/3.1 motherboard and the only bios available is the original 
v1.0 5/13/2015. that is almost 8 months old. I seldom see boards that 
don't get a update before that amount of time has passed. Does this mean
 a perfect motherboard or one that doesn't get much traction in the 
market place? it has many outstanding features; but I am someone 
concerned about whether the bios is keeping up with changing 
technology...
