Hey there! I have the B550m itx/ac paired with a Ryzen 3600 and a 2x8gb corsair 3600 16-19-19-36 (CMK16GX4M2D3600C16).
Cant get XMP to work even though im on the latest BIOS, i assume because my RAM is a very new skew and it is not supported by ASRock as of yet. What does one do in such a situation? Should I be manually adjusting my voltage/clocks/timings using DRAM calculator? Alternatively, can I talk to asrock support? Would they be able to tell me anything other than buy new RAM/a different motherboard? Unfortunately Corsair LPXs are the only modules that fits under my CPU cooler (ID-60). Thanks for any help. |

Your best bet is DRAM calc, there are countless tutorials out there on how to set
things up. XMP has never been very good on Ryzen, think of it as a preprogrammed overclock (which it is) that may not be stable on every system without tweaks. A fast and dirty trick is to enable XMP and then manually lower the frequency to around 2666, save and exit and see if the system boots/is stable, if so bump up to the next frequency up the list until you lose stability. This will usually get you in the region of 3200 maybe higher. |
