Powered USB 3 hubs

   Having random attached usb drive freezes only when using a powered hub. Drive to drive file transfer may end with both drives stopped as if I hit the pause.  Sometime I'll get a error box for drive not responding.  All rear ports fine, just using the hub for convenience. So far, 3 different hubs acting the same then returned to Amazon. A fourth is coming to try what, I hope, is a different hub chipset.

Anyone have these issues?  Mainly with mechanical drives but once with a 64GB stick.
