I am trying to install a WiFi card (AX201 m.2) into motherboard (ASRock z390 pro4 M2_3 E-key slot), but PC does not powerON with it. If disable BIOS settings "Onboard WAN Device" than PC powerON Ok. Also in BIOS does not option "M2_3/PCIE_3 Switch" (my BIOS ver is P4.40).
Is it possible to enable AX201 on z390 pro4? Edited by ASRock_TSD - 07 Apr 2020 at 10:38am |

Dear Hogopogo,
Thanks for posting your query to ASRock forum. A great place to find out the answers that you need. AX201 supports upcoming Intel motherboards. Any Z390 or motherboards that are previously released are not supported. With thanks, ASRock TSD Edited by ASRock_TSD - 26 Feb 2020 at 11:13am |

Thank for answer.
Is it possible to find list of supported WiFi-module for Z390 pro4? (like for CPU, SDD and memory) I supposed that if in spec declared: - 1 x M.2 Socket (Key E), supports type 2230 WiFi/BT module and Intel® CNVi (Integrated WiFi/BT) (https://www.asrock.com/MB/Intel/Z390%20Pro4/index.us.asp#Specification) AX201 will be work fine. Is it wrong? |

Dear Hogopogo,
Thanks for the reply. We understand. However, since AX201 is a CNVi2 Wi-Fi module, thus it is not supported by the Z390 chipset. With thanks, ASRock TSD Edited by ASRock_TSD - 13 Mar 2020 at 4:43pm |

Hello at all.
On the Intel website I read that the WiFi 6 AX200 modules were launched in Q2'19, the Z300 series of chipsets instead in Q4'18. Therefore I assume that the latest Intel CNVi module compatible with the Z390 chipset are the previous 9000 series modules launched before the Z300 chipset, in Q4'17. Now, is it reasonable to say that all 9000 series modules: Intel® Wireless-AC 9560 Intel® Wireless-AC 9462 Intel® Wireless-AC 9461 Intel® Wireless-AC 9260 can works properly on the Z390 PRO4 motherboard? A confirmation would be welcome. Thank you For reference: https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/series/97687/intel-wireless-9000-series.html |

Forget it
I just saw that in the specifications of the Z390 PRO4, in the SLOT section it is indicated: Supports CNVio1 WiFi module (Intel Wireless-AC 9560/9462/9461) only You always learn something to read the specifications well! Have a good day |

Hello, Do I need antenna for Intel Wireless-AC 9462 to work on ASRock Z390 Pro4?
And if so, which should I choose? |

Hello ProHolmes, If you already have the WiFi module, and you only need the cables and antennas try to take a look at this on Amazon. Pay attention that the PCI-e cards of type M.2 (NGFF) use an antenna connector called MHF4 which is different from the one used on Mini PCI-e old cards which use the type MHF / MHF2.
