Has anyone tried using the RTC Alarm option under the APCI option in the BIOS? This was one of the main reasons I bought it because of this feature. This is just going to be an HTPC and when it is shut down, it needs to power back on at a specific time each morning for maintenance.
My current unit that has a BioStar motherboard works flawlessly but that is an aging unit and apparently Biostar doesn't offer that on the small form factor builds.

I want to add to this thread by stating that the RTC Alarm option is NOT working and cannot figure out why.

Dear Gdlgiii,

Thank you for posting your query to ASRock forum.
This is technical support from ASRock.

Regarding your question about "RTC Alarm Power On", we have checked with the following configuration and the system was able to wake up on a specific time.

Configuration:
A300
BIOS P3.50
CPU 3400G

Step 1. Check if BIOS time is correct, it not, please edit the time.
Step 2. Go to Advanced\ACPI Configuration\RTC Alarm Power On\Enabled.
Step 3. (Set the time to wake the system)
Step 4. Press F10 to save the settings.
Step 5. Turn off the computer.
(Shut down the computer by power button if you are in BIOS)

The system should turn on when it reaches a specific time.

With thanks,
ASRock TSD
