I've noticed an entry in Device Manager called Ports (COM & LPT) and a sub-entry below that called Communications Port (COM1). Isn't that for legacy connectivity? Thought I disabled all that stuff in UEFI. Anyone know where it's located?

Physically, it's a 9-pin header on the bottom edge of the board, labelled COM1, next to the RESET CMOS link. It's a legacy communications device - before USB most PCs came with two of them. I used to connect to the Internet via a dial-up modem plugged into a COM port. As far as the UEFI BIOS is concerned, I would expect it to appear on the \Advanced\South Bridge Configuration page but I can't confirm that because my particular board doesn't have a COM port.
