Z170 Extreme 7+ w/ 4TB M.2 issue

   I cannot get a 4TB Samsumsung 990 Pro PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD to show up? I currently have a 512 950 Pro that works and shows up fine. Can this older mother board support higher than 512? IS there a setting or something I am doing wrong? The bios is updated.
