Hi,
My son has an AsRock B450 pro4 and I wanted to reinstall his computer on a fresh version of windows 11. For unknown reason, I can not install it anymore whereas it was running before. Everytime I try to install windows 11 pro on his computer, Windows displays an error : "media driver missing" I tried to plug the USB drive on each USB port => no change I tried a different version of windows => no change I tried to browse for a missing driver => no change I checked if something was wrong in BIOS, but I did not find anything suspicious. when I boot on the USB drive, I can get command line and diskpart can find BOTH: SSD drive and USB drive So I guess no driver is missing relative to USB or HDD... So what is this missing media driver, Windows asks all the time ? Bios is updated to version P4.10 from summer 2023 Any idea what is the missing driver ? thx |

that means you need storage driver, windows should have storage drivers for your mainboard already, but it seems you have enabled RAID in bios, and for that you gonna need RAID drivers
those drivers are on download page for you mainboard, but its there called sata floppy image, you will need to unzip it, it contains SATA, NVMe and RAID drivers Edited by kerberos_20 - 25 Nov 2023 at 8:35pm |
