System: Motherboard: X670E Pro RS Wifi CPU: 9800X3D CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-P1 (passive) but with a 140mm Noctua fan, works great RAM: G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo RGB Series DDR5 6000 PSU: SAMA XP1200W 80 PLUS Platinum 12VHPWR Silent Fan GPU: have tested with the following: - MSI 4090 Suprim - ASUS 4060ti Strix (8GB) - EVGA 3080 FTW Before the X670 I had an Intel MSI B560M PRO-VDH WIFI LGA 1200 with a 10700F and it ran fine with a bunch of GPUs. Issue: Note: Since I'm using the 9800X3D I had to flash the BIOS so I know that's new. When I shut down the CPU fan goes to 100% and the GPU also keeps spinning its fans at what I think is 100% ... certainly higher than normal. PSU with fan shutoff stays off (does come on briefly on boot). Have played with some BIOS settings but can't see anything that looks like it would relate. Any ideas? |

OOPS. I see there's an update as of 11/20 so I'm going to try that and report back. |

I flashed the Beta BIOS 3.12.AS02 but no luck, CPU fan still goes to 100% on shutdown. Other updates to symptoms: * I was wrong, the GPU fans don't ramp, but the RGB continues to light * I tried CPU Fan 1 and 2 and both exhibit the same behavior * I tried shutting off all sleep settings, no difference I'm at wit's end with this one... |

I feel so alone... no one has a solution?
Perhaps an RMA? |
