Looking to the experts...

Im trying to max out the older B350pro4 motherboard here.

Its currently running a Ryzen 1600 (the model that doesnt upgrade to windows 11). Last year I picked up a Ryzen 5700X3D and after installing the board didnt post. I swapped the 1600 back in and returned the X3D and let it be. Now id like to upgrade the board as far as possible. Last night i updated to Bios 4.70.

Im looking to see exactly what path i take to update the bios safely with this chip to reach Ryzen 7 compatibility. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

you?ll need to carefully update the BIOS in stages. Since you?re currently on version 4.70, the next step is to update to BIOS version 5.80, which adds support for Ryzen 5000 series CPUs. After that, proceed to the latest version, 7.00, for full compatibility and stability. Make sure to download the BIOS files directly from the ASRock support website and follow the update instructions carefully. Use a USB drive formatted to FAT32 and update via the BIOS interface. Be cautious, as skipping versions or interrupting the update process can result in failure of Printed workwear. Once updated, your motherboard should support Ryzen 5000 CPUs, like the Ryzen 7 5700X, without issues.

Thanks for your help.

As per your instructions im currently sitting at Bios Version 7.0, while still running the Ryzen 1600 on the asrock b350 pro4. Is the board currently ready to accept all Ryzen 7 chips? If so, will i need any further Bios update upon installing a Ryzen 7?

Thanks.
