I'm inspired by an image of a RGB matrix LED hooked up to a mobo that I saw recently and want a similar thing on my build.

I am going to build a new PC with the Fatal1ty X470 Gaming K4 soon and wish to take advantage of the addressable RGB header to do this. I stumbled across the Adafruit NeoPixel NeoMatrix 8x8 RGB LED panel which uses the SK6812 LEDs, which are claimed to be WS2812B compatible.

I would like to know if it's safe or even possible to hook this panel up to the motherboard as the spec sheet claims that the peak main draw is 3.5A, although through normal use the draw is around 1-2A. If not, can anyone suggest a matrix panel that will work with the mobo?

Thanks in advance.
