970 Pro3 R2.0 fan connectors

   I have a Asrock 970 Pro3 R2.0 motherboard and it only has 2 connectors for chassis fans and I have 4 different chassis fans. Is it safe to use the power fan connector for one of them and the empty 3-pin CPU-fan connector for the other or should I just get a fan connector cable for my PSU and connect them to that?
