Today the system is unable to complete the boot process. I turn on the PC, see Dr. Debug run through some codes, then nothing comes up on the screen. I don't get to the BIOS screen to see it booting, and not to the operating system. Any advice on next steps? I don't have any spare parts to try swapping, I'd need to go to a computer store and pay for service. |

Welcome to the forums.
Is this a new build or was the system booting before and has now stopped?

New build, system has been booting for a few weeks. Heard back from EVGA and they want to try a replacement video card first.

If Dr. Debug is not sticking on a code then the GPU may well be the fault. Dr. Debug runs through different initialization codes as the system powers up and if there is a problem, the code will remain lit and indicate where it came from. If the tests are all passing then the GPU is not outputting a signal for some reason or there is a bad cable/connection between it and your monitor. If you have not sent it off already then you can try a different monitor on your system and see if you can get a signal.
If Dr. Debug halts on a code however and the code is not connected to the GPU then the problem lies elsewhere. In this case, if you could post the code here we will be able to assist you further. If you have already sent off the GPU then you can test to see if the rest of the system is working by powering it on, the Dr. Debug LED should display a code that corresponds to no GPU detected. In your user manual you will find a breakdown of all the codes and what they correspond to. Good luck
