Question about Cpu Voltage on AB350M Pro4

Hi guys, i was ready to buy a AB350M Pro4 but just before ordering i read a strange comment about this board and i have two questions.

I came from a B350M Msi Mortar wich have a huge problem "at least to me" that forced me to change it, if you leave the v-core on AUTO, the motherboard will adjust cpufreq and v-core according to the load, for a Ryzen 5 1600 it means going from 1.5Ghz ~ 0.5V <-> 3.2Fgz ~ 1.2V.
Problem is, once you set a custom v-core both if you are at stock freq or in overclock, you will be stuck with the value you set on the bios all the time, causing much higher temp in idle and forcing you to leave everything at default.
"Using the pc h24 at 1.5ghz with 1.35V dosen't sounds great" 


I would like to know, how the voltage regulation work on the Ab350M pro4 ? I know that it doesn't have an offset option but only a fixed value, will it lower once you are in idle ?

Please let me know any info you have !

Oh, that's a very sad news ;c

I hear that the Pro 4 should have a p-state overclock feature, it won't help ?
At this point i don't even know there is a mATX that work "correctly" :c

The P-State option work only with the stock voltage (i spend a lot of time to understand that)

The other motherboard use offset to incrase the voltage.
But for now AB350 Pro4 don't have offset so you can't overclock a lot with P-State

My b350m Mortar only has fixed voltage, so i can't undervolt o overclock for more than a few benchmark
Asrock pro4 got fixed voltage but i thought that you should be able to fix this problem with p-state.

Do you know if motherboard that use offset voltage regulation also have the same problem ? Fixed voltage if a custom freq "or a +/- value" is applied ?

I disagree that P-State over and under clocking only works with stock or Auto voltage settings.

I use Offset voltage in my X370 Killer SLI/ac, set to a negative value.

With a custom P-State enable at 2.5GHz, the processor will drop to that speed under low loads.

Also, if you have Cool n Quiet and C States enabled, I see my VCore dropping to a bit below 0.4V under low CPU load.

The Windows Power Plan you are using also has a role in this, using Windows 10.

I'm not using my Ryzen system as I write this, and I want to review the details of the relationship between the various Power Plans, including the Ryzen Balanced plan, the P State under clocking, and the affect of having CnQ, C States, and C6 enabled, and the VCore at idle.

But I know using Offset voltage with my manual OC to 3.9GHz on a 1700X (which automatically sets the P0 P State to the same OC) and the conditions I listed above, causes the VCore to drop to very low levels.

For example, High Performance plan with CnQ and C6 enabled, Offset Voltage:

I don't know, i asked to a friend of mine that have a B350M Pro4 and confirmed me that both with and without p-state the v-core didn't drop in idle if set to a custom value.
Even with cool'n quiet and c6 enabled.

At this point i think that this is a bug of EVERY b350 board, dunnow.
