instead of warning people maybe you should tell Asrock how their customers are feeling...

Especially when I buy $180 worth of Ryzen specific Flare-x for a $250 ASROCK board and it still wont cold boot...

 RIDICULOUS!!!!!!
Asrock x570 Taichi, Ryzen3800x, 32gb Gskill Royal 36000mhz@ 3733mhz, Samsung 250gb 970evo plus for OS drive, Sabrent Rocket 1tb nvme storage drive.

brucer, Consider yourself Warned now too.

Report it to the proper people: https://event.asrock.com/tsd.asp

I won't allow it to become a place where people/Users do is continually complain. I, we, appreciate your buying ASRock, yet there is is proper channel to follow if one is looking for results and or answers.

Again, that is: https://event.asrock.com/tsd.asp

I hope you understand that. I have never given anyone the boot from any Forum I've Moderated.  I will not. I refuse to. I much prefer to reason and or point out the proper channels that need followed.

I much prefer helping. Not chastising.

I've used my FlareX F4-3200C14D-16GFX memory in my ASRock X370 Killer SLI/ac board from the first day I started the board. Cold boots fine.

DDR4 prices are ridiculous, but how is that related to any mother board?

Consider, a low end, budget B350 chipset board is much more likely to be used by someone that will just buy some decent memory, put it in the board, and never configure it whatsoever.

So for those users, a UEFI/BIOS update that will not down clock the new JEDEC 2666 DDR4 memory to 2400 will be good to have, and serves a purpose.

For a high end board like the Fatal1ty X370 Professional Gaming, this update won't be as useful to its owners as it will be for owners of budget boards. It will do nothing for your or my memory at all, since its JEDEC speed is 2400. I'm in no hurry to apply this update, it is useless to me personally.

I'm sure this will get deleted...
so your basically here to curtail specific awful motherboard issues,so Asrock doesnt get any bad news...   Well guess what, I could care less..  I'm not a kid, I'm 48 years old and work for my money and when I spend $250 on a motherboard I expect it to be a premium motherboard and expect it to work, especially when the memory I'm using is on Asrocks QVL list..., which it might as well be a brick because that memory specifically listed on Asrock qvl list does not work as intended or implied which is false advertising....

And I have taken it up with asrock, thank you..

and if this gets deleted I'll hit every social media outlet known to man and let them know how Asrock motherboards memory compatibility sucks..
