sunday afternoon browsing
AND CREDIT TO USER NAMED 1usmus from ruoverclockers came across some info on a russian overclocking forum and found russias version of a guy called stilt anyways he posted some ryzen ram tips now i know its not as easy as what hes saying BUT he has included some decent info on proc odt and tips applicable to dual rank vs single rank and samsung vs hynix heres a translation below 1) Go to the BIOS and turn on the DOCP profile (sometimes called the XMP) 2) Set the Memory Frequency for your RAM (Mother's chipset X370) a) if this is a Samsung single track - 3433 (3333 for OEM memory) b) if this is a Samsung dual rank - 3200 c) if this is a huniks / micron single-rank - 2933 (you can try 3200, but not all motherboards it behaves correctly) d) if this is a Hyunix / micron dual rank - 2933 2 *) Set the Memory Frequency for your RAM (Mother's chipset B350) a) if this is a Samsung single-track - 3333 (3200 for OEM memory) b) if this is a Samsung dual rank - 2933 c) if this is a huniks / micron single-rank - 2933 d) if this is a Hyunix / micron dual rank - 2933 (2666) 3) set the frequency of the bus BCLK - 100.0 (if there is no this item in bios-skipping) 4) Perfomance bias ??disable (if there is no this item in the BIOS-skip) 5) set DRAM Voltage a) if it is a Samsung single / dual 1.35 for 3200 and 1.385 for 3200+ b) if it is a micron / huniks single / dual 1.375-1.425 for 2933-3200 6) set CPU Soc Voltage a) if it is a samsung single / dualrank 1.05 b) if the hunix / micron single / dual 1.1 (sometimes 1.13 is required if there is no stability of the system, but more on this later) 7) if there is an item in the BIOS Vbootram voltage in it, enter the value that you put in step 5). This will save you from coldboots (cold starts) 8) set Soc Load Line Calibration to mode 2 or medium (we insure against bsodov and instability of the system) 9) expose the CPU Load Line Calibration to the mode 3 or HIGH (we insure that the percentage did not eat part of the juice, again we are insured against bsodov and instability) 10) go to the timings menu and set procODT a) if it is samsung / huniks / micron single-rank - 48 / 53,3 / 60 b) if this is Samsung / Hyunix / micron dual rank - 80/96 c) if it is samsung / huniks / micron dual rank 4x16GB - 43.6 d) if this is a Samsung / Hyunix / micron single 4x8GB - 48 / 53.3 / 60 11) if you have a single memory track go to the AMD CBS menu, find the Bank group swap and disable it (disable) and BGS alt. 12) save, reboot and your PC is ready for work once again credit to a user named 1usmus Edited by datonyb - 16 Oct 2017 at 12:32am |

thank you daytonb, WoW, very detail!!!
Just want to chat with you, 1usmus recommends Hynix 1.425V 3200Mhz, wow, that's a bit worrying for myself..... even though AMD youtube says go as high as 1.5v for DDR4 without problems. Still, you know... human mantality. then procODT 80/96 ohms...... high ohms means high voltage, although aligned and tele with above 1.425V 3200Mhz, still, makes me scared. hahahahahaha But, seriously, the more I think about it, that more logical it seems, 1.425V or more is high voltage hence need high resistance to match accordingly. What else can I say, OK, will try it........ ok ok ok may be MIGHT try it, hahahahah. Joking. Edited by cx5 - 16 Oct 2017 at 11:58am |
