Under fan tuning and fantastic tuning the fans when set up do not ramp up or down according to the temps they are supposedly monitoring. You can set to standard etc. to get them running ju8st not where they respond to heat. |

What temperature sensor did you choose to monitor for the various fan headers? Are you saying the CPU fan header does not change the CPU cooler's fan speed? No idea what CPU cooler you are using, or the fans being used and how they are connected. All PC fans are different in their minimum and maximum speeds, and what speed they will operate at for a given voltage or PWM %. The built in fan profiles are just best guesses to match with some fans, and the Quiet and Standard profiles won't change their speeds much unless the temperature is rather high. You really should create a Custom fan speed curve for each fan you use, if they are different. What options do you have in the UEFI/BIOS for temperature monitoring? I don't have this board, and the manual may not match what new UEFI updates provides. |

I am using the Enermax TR4 cooler. It shows in HW monitor CPU temps changing but I set any of the fans to monitor CPU temp and there is no scaling/ramping. The are slow at like 697 RPM. On standard the fan speeds up and this is even seen in the bios under HWmonitor but again the custom doe not work.

Great, glad it is working better now. The 1.70 UEFI version must have included a change regarding which CPU temperature was being monitored for fan speed control. We have seen updates like that for the standard Ryzen boards. Your UEFI might now have an option for selecting which CPU temperature is being used for fan speed control. The default setting is probably the best. |
