I'm unable to get any signal from the video outputs from my GPU (Radeon 7900 GRE). However, I know that the GPU works; my OS detects it, and when I play games, it is definitely using the discrete GPU for graphics processing (it is performing far and beyond what the integrated unit should be able to handle, and hardware tools report that the discrete card is drawing power and using its cores/vram). HOWEVER, the rendering output is being piped through my motherboard HDMI output.
I have tried (and failed) to disable my iGPU to force the computer to only use the discrete GPU. I have a ASRock B650I; when I tinker with the iGPU settings (via Advanced > AMD CBS > NBIO Common Options > GFX Configuration > dGPU Only Mode, and I've both set this to Enabled and Disabled with the iGPU disabled) has resulted in no video output from either the mobo or the dGPU. In order to do anything, I have to flash the BIOS flash to reset that setting to restore functionality. I've tried the following BIOS settings: dGPU Only Mode = Auto (this is the default that works, and my OS detects both graphics but I do not get HDMI output from my video card) dGPU Only Mode = Enabled (no HDMI output from either my mobo or my GPU) dGPU Only Mode = Disabled, iGPU = Disabled (same as above) Not sure if I'm picking the wrong BIOS settings or if it's something else. I haven't tested the DP outputs because I don't have a DP cable atm. |
