Hi, regarding the "ASRock AB350 Gaming-ITX/ac Motherboard", specifically how M.2 NVMe drives are affected in builds with a full GPU in the PCI-E slot.
This motherboard's specs are listed as having only 16x PCI-E lanes. How does installing a high-speed M.2 NVMe drive affect this? Does the PCI-E slot go from 16x to 8x for the GPU? Are some SATA ports disabled in the process? Can I take full advantage of a high-speed M.2 NVMe at the same time as a full GPU? |

Dear Tabris, Greetings, this is ASRock TSD. Actually, both devices will not affect link speed each other. If installing AMD Ryzen series CPUs, the VGA card will run at x16 mode and M.2 PCI Express module up to Gen3 x4 (32 Gb/s). But if installing AMD 7th A-Series APUs, the VGA card will only run at x8 mode and M.2 PCI Express module up to Gen3 x2 (16 Gb/s). Please refer to the specification for detail information. Thanks! All the best, ASRock TSD |
