I built a new pc using a B650 Steel Legend motherboard, AMD Ryzen 7 7700X cpu, (2 x 16 GB) DDR5 - CL30, 6000 ram. The built went good and the computer posted fine. The issue came when installing Windows 11 OS. We have tried BIOS versions, 3.15, 3.08 and 3.06.
We have diagnosed the issue has to do with the TPM. The BIOS shows that TMP 2.0 is detected but the Windows (10/11) install fail immediately. IT throws a "ACPI_BIOS_error". We have tried multiple setting in bios with no luck. We have been successful booting to a USB drive and testing the memory sticks using MEMTEST86+. Everything passed just fine. We have also booted using the latest version of Ubuntu desktop. The system booted up perfectly. I see the motherboard has a location for a hardware TPM module. It is my understanding that I do not need to spend extra to get this capability. I greatly appreciate assistance working through this issue. Best Regards |

Hello!
1. Download the Windows ISO from Microsoft 2. Download Rufus (it's free) 3. Insert a USB flash drive (8GB, or larger) - You will lose all infos from it. 4. Open Rufus and create a bootable USB flash drive/ Browse & select the Windows 11 ISO image 5. You'll have some options at the creation of USB drive. Select UEFI/ Select to remove the AI features, TPM check, & drive encryption. 6. Create the drive. 7. Boot with the new USB flash drive/ Install Windows 11, hassle free! I hope this helps... |

Thanks for your help.
We have followed your instructions, but I don't see the "remove the AI features" that you mention. We are using rufus 4.6 and have tried Windows 11 version 24, as well as version 23 and version 21. Every time we try booting to windows we get the same error about "ACPI_BIOS_Error". In BIOS it shows that it recognizes "TPM 2.0" however windows does not seem to agree / like it. |
