Hi I'm thinking of purchasing this motherboard but I am uncertain about the following in the manual: "Please be noted that if the Ultra M.2 Socket (M2_1) is occupied by a SATA-type M.2 device, SATA3_0, SATA3_1 and the SATA function of the SATA Express connector will be disabled." (my emphasis) I just need clarity if a M.2 NVME device will also disable the two SATA ports or if these are only disabled as the text says with a M.2 SATA device. I'm not sure if the wording in the manual is accurate or just badly worded! I will be using this motherboard in a NAS so I want to use the M.2 socket as well as all the SATA ports. Thanks. |

In this case manual is correct. I have Samsung 951 (MZVPV256HDGL) as boot device in M.2 socket and all sata connectors is usable. SATA_0, SATA_1 working with HDD, SATA_5 ODD.
