I have a Mini PC 4X4 BOX-8640U, an AMD Ryzen??8040U and an ARZOPA 17" portable monitor.
Problem is: Connecting the monitor via only one USB C cable does not work. If I connect the monitor to the Google Pixel, the phone can both power and transmit the image via this USB-C only. - I updated the BIOS to 1.3 (it is written there when the PC starts) - I use Windows 10, but I made a partition on WIN 11 to test it and install all Drivers, the problem persists. - from the 4X4 BOX-8640U I have to connect both USB-C and HDMI (USBC for power and HDMI for image) Does anyone have any idea how to connect via USB-C only? Thank you. |

I have a similar problem with my Framework 13 (AMD 7840U).
Apparently, USB-C Alt mode is hard to get right. My Cocopar monitor works fine with single cable, but my CNBANAN monitor doesn't. There were other people posting about it on Framework forums with similar problems. Some fixed it by using fancy expensive USB-C cable, but others had no luck. Maybe the USB-C Alt mode spec is just loosy goosy and there isn't much we can do about it. |
