Help! Just installed a new ASRock X99 EXTREME6 mobo into my trusty case that I have used for 6 years (NZXT case with Corsair TX650W PSU) and when I power it on there are no LEDs, no fans, silence, absolutely nothing happens. Pressing the power/reset buttons does nothing, switching BIOS from A to B makes no difference. I had the DRAM (2x16GB in A2/B2) not seated well initially but since pushed it in well and still no sign of life. Core i7 5820K, EVGA GTX960 GPU. PSU has worked fine with previous mobo for 6 years.

Any clues appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome to the forums.

First up, make sure you have the correct power connections hooked up for the 12v CPU power. Assuming it is correctly connected the PSU being 6 years old could well be the issue, it may not adhere to the power standards of the X99 platform. I generally do not recommend using a PSU for more than 3 years, beyond this point most begin to slowly fail.

Ok this turned out to be caused by apparently plugging the wrong 12V cable into ATX 12V Power connector. 6+2 connector = wrong. 4+4 connector = correct.

Now mobo starts up but shows error codes 60/19/53.

Ok resolved this by moving DRAM sticks from A2/B2 to A1/B1. Apparently they do not work in A2/B2 but work fine in A1/B1.

Thanks Xaltar for helping!!
