Hi,

Few days ago my mouse start to "click twice when i click left button on mouse, or when i select some text and release mouse button it act like i didnt select", so i buy new one and have same issue.

I try to reset mouse properties and folder too, same issue.
I tested few mouses new ones and all have same issue.
I tested mouses on all usb ports same issue.

Tested same mouses on oter pc and laptop and they work fine. So i installed new windows 8.1 pro ( same as old ) on new hard drive ssd, and problem is still here.

I try others usb with keyboards all works without problem. Updated bios, problem still here.

Motherboard is :
Intel socket 1155 H61M-VG3

I have this problem myself on one of my older systems, I am looking into it. If I find a solution I will post back.

Is the erratic click behavior in a specific application or is it present regardless of what you are using?

I noticed the issue while playing games that use the mouse to navigate then discovered it was happening in windows and apps too.

Just an FYI, System specs:

ASRock Z97 Extreme3
Pentium G3258
OS: Windows 8.1 pro 64, Windows 7 pro 32 (tested 7 as I have a licence for that machine on it)

Issues persisted thru 7 and 8.1

In that case I don't think we have the same problem.

Try the mouse in different ports. A mouse is constantly streaming data to the PC, unlike most other devices, a keyboard working on a port for example is not a good indicator that the port is operating correctly. Do you have tracking issues too? (the mouse stalling/not moving for periods of time).

Make sure you have installed the INF package for your board, it can be found here for Windows 8.1.

Strange that the only the left click seems to be affected. My issue has been resolved but it was poor conectivity to the mouse itself and all my buttons were affected as well as tracking hangups.

Sadly, no. The issue you are having seems to be only effecting your left click. You say you have tested the mouse on other systems and that it works as it should there, maybe try another mouse (I know you have already tried 2) just to be sure there isn't some kind of incompatibility going on.

You can also try resetting your UEFI (BIOS) to factory defaults and see if that helps. If not then try setting USB to legacy mode in your BIOS.
