Maybe not the full lifespan of your chip, but it should still be supported for a while

You will still get full support for the K4. The only reason Asrock EOL'd it is because some parts became difficult to source so instead of calling it a "rev 2" or something using the alternative parts they just decided to make a different board and call it the Gaming X to help simplify things.

It sad that "rev 2" version is weaker from "rev 1". Rev 2 only has better memory support
