I recently installed a B450m pro4 so I could use my new Ryzen 5 2600 processor. I have the system up and running, and it can run games no problem, but I don't have any sound. At first the Windows Audio process refused to run; I'm now able to get it to run but it doesn't recognize any speakers or headphones, both through USB or Audio jacks. My audio devices show up in device manager, so they are connecting, but Windows Audio still doesn't see them.
The ASRock support page for the B450m pro4 does not list any audio drivers, so I don't know exactly which driver I'm supposed to have. I installed generic Realtek HD Audio drivers but they didn't work. I've done the following: 1) confirmed that the HD Audio pins were connected to my mobo 2) made sure my drivers were up to date 3) Reinstalled Realtek HD audio drivers 4) Checked my registry to make sure the Windows Audio service wasn't being denied access None of these things has worked. I am dangerously close to reinstalling windows as a last ditch resort. Any help would be appreciated. Edited by Biggs - 24 Aug 2018 at 10:13pm |
