Does this CMOS battery charge function exist? Do other mainboard producers offer this too?

there is one significant argument against rechargeable CMOS-battery: the battery life outlasts the usefulness of the system. it could be oecologial (good for the environment) and maybe also oeconomical (saving a tiny amount of money) but in the end, you have to buy a new mainboard at least in 10 years, if you want to work with up to date software.
