My Bios version is 3.46
In Advanced\AMD CBS\ Chipset Common Options\USB configuration options What means XHCI GEN1 (f) XHCI GEN2 (f) (f) its a bug???? I question that because when i use my USB pendrive when i copy something to the pendrive on it starts 27MB/s of velocity and in 50% and near of the end it goes to 0MB/s. But this happens only in pendrives, when i use usb port with HDD 2,5" everithing in copy files is ok. Anyone can help me??????? |

The 500 Series in general suffers from constant USB disconnection issues. Called USB "Stuttering"
This is where the device will constantly disconnect and reconnect. But since it is so fast windows does not do a sound telling you what happened. Your initial speed is where the cache is filled up then it will stall waiting for the device. When it finally clears the cache it will cache another section and repeat the process. Eventually you may or may not hit a situation where the device stutter itself off and while still being recognized by windows all I/O will halt until the state is cleared and the device reports it is ready for more data. The only other wildcard would be the pendrive itself. Cheap drives advertise high speeds but this is theoretical speeds, they will have a hard time even reaching 40mb transfer rate. Assuming it is not the drive some solutions I saw call to disable C states in the BIOS. But this did not work for everyone. Some people have reported that this did not help them with a Pcie 4.0 GPU. But for some it did, so it may had been the device for them. So this is the best solution I found: 1.Right-click the start button and select Device Manager. 2. Goto USB Serial Bus Controllers and expand It. Right clicm your USB Hub device and select properties. 3. Under the Power Management tab deselect the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" 4. Click apply. If you do not what hub it is on then do all of them. After you are done close the device manager. Next open up settings and do a search for power and select Change Power Plan. Most likely you are on the Balanced power plan. So: 1. Click on "Change advanced power settings" 2.then expand "USB Settings" and then expand "Expand USB selective suspend settings* 3. Change Value to disabled and shrink the" USB Settings" back down. 4. Next expand Pcie Link State and disable the power saving on that also. Once done click apply. While this will not 100% fix it, as even Linux users have the same issue, it should hopefully reduce it greatly for you and potentially prevent it from stalling out to 0mb. Let me know if this helps and good luck. |
