Hi guys,
I noticed that my 1.05V_PROM voltage on auto is at 1.130V. Is there something to worry about? What is this 1.05V_PROM voltage setting? I couldn't find anything about it on Google. Also logically speaking it should be at 1.050V isn't it? I'm using a 1600 at stock settings. Any advice will be nice. Thanks!

Nope, everything else under voltage configuration are left as default/ auto
vcore and soc offset: 0 DRAM voltage: 1.2v 2.50 voltage: 2.5v +1.80 voltage: 1.8v Under hwinfo, there isn't any anomalies, this motherboard has very little sensors to begin with

mine is at 1.040~1.048v
maybe ask this question on asrock tsd if it can damage your chipset as far as i can tell this voltage should be around 1.05 +-0.05 on default |

Alright cool, I just sent a email to them regarding.
Other users with the same motherboard please share your voltages too ![]() |

On my X370 ITX/ac (same motherboard except different south-bridge chip) the 1.05V PROM is at 1.080V, that is 0.030V over the AMD specification, yours is off by 0.080V.
I think that's the B350 south-bridge voltage, maybe your board has high leakage silicone requiring higher default voltage, try to reset UEFI by jumper to defaults and check again and report here
EDIT1: indeed I was right ASRock got the naming wrong, that 1.05V "PROM" is the 1.05V PCH voltage, that is the south-bridge chip. So indeed its a higher leakage part. Don't worry its normal, up to 1.2V should be no problem except for higher thermals on the B350 radiator. The actual P-ROM voltage is 2.5V (the 2.5V value that is listed there) that being the UEFI chip voltage setting as far as I know. The true namings should be like follows: Vcore: current core voltage SOC: that is the uncore+northbridge (memory controller) on Raven Ridge that is also the GPU voltage setting, there is a separate voltage setting that changes just the GPU voltage, but if you rise the SOC the GPU + Memory Controller + Uncore will rise to set value. DRAM voltage: As the name implies its the primary memory voltage. 2.50 voltage: This is the P-ROM voltage, at this voltage it could only be the UEFI Chip on the motherboard. Correct me if I'm wrong. 1.8V voltage: That is the CPU PLL voltage. (this should be left unchanged, it might alter the temperature readings if you raise or lower it, because it interferes with AMD SenseMI circuit There might be more but those I remember Edited by cristy6100 - 13 Apr 2018 at 10:04pm |

Ahh I see. I just did a jumper reset but still the same 1.130v. Surprisingly there are not many B350 itx motherboard users here...

Well other users could correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the PCH 1.05V voltage should matter in any situation except BUS overclock which should be avoided anyway bacause it trows everything connected to it out of spec. 100MHz +/- 10% should be acceptable for the BUS speed, but the ITX variants don't have an external clock generator for the BUS clock, so its fixed at 100MHz give or take that 10%.
Regarding that higher voltage, it should be of no importance even on the long run, but you should wait for an official ASRock response by mail and keep us posted what they say about it. Have a nice day

Meanwhile, I have manually set the 1.05V_PROM to 1.050v and see how it goes on day to day usage. Will update here if anything.
