I just made a new build with the X870 pro rs wifi MB, and the red+yellow lights come on to indicate a problem with the CPU or DRAM.
CPU: Ryzen 7 9700x RAM: G.Skill DDR5 5200 16G installed in slot A2 PSU: be quiet! 1000W MB is getting power in both 8-pin slots as well as the 24-pin slot. I've tried flashing a new BIOS version in the hopes that might fix things but I wasn't able to confirm that I had done that correctly, as the flashback light did not come on as I pressed the button. I'm wondering if there's any potential BIOS issues with the CPU I chose or if I'll have to go through some troubleshooting to see if my CPU or RAM is dead on arrival. |

An update: Everything works now. I made a mistake in updating the BIOS, turns out that my parts don't work on version 3.11. I rolled back all the way to 3.06 and the system POSTS just fine, now dual booting Windows 11 and Ubuntu 24.04. Instead the issue was that my monitor didn't support input from my MB. With a new monitor things are working just fine. Hoping things continue to work, given that my DRAM isn't actually on the QVL list. I guess you never trust PCPartPicker to check QVL lists...
