Hi !
I made this post to help anyone to solve ARGB management with Radeon GPU and polychrome. So, what the issue ? You have an Asrock Radeon GPU (mine is a 7900 XTX Taichi white) - Asrock Polychrome doesn't recognize your GPU - Asrock Tweak show you a driver violation - You've already try to flash RGB Firmware (using this way https://www.asrock.com/support/faq.asp?id=524 ), but the flash tool doesn't recognize your GPU. The key point is that in the flash tool, you doesn't see the line Adapter....AMD Radeon XXXXX It's mean that the tool can't find the adapter, so it can't talk with it. The issue is caused by the driver that Windows auto install when you plug a GPU. The solution i've found : 1/ Disable windows auto-install driver option (you can find on Google how to do it, the options will depend of your operating system) 2/ Download the lastest AMD Driver for your GPU 3/ Download DDU (it's a small tool that totaly remove installed GPU Driver) Now, you've all the requierement. The next step will be to boot in Safe mode to use DDU. But there is an optional step that i've added, this is to disable iGPU on your motherboard. The purpose is to be sure that it will not interfere with Asrock GPU Detection tool. 4/ Reboot in safe mode. During the reboot, go to bios and disable your integrated GPU (please find the way to do that on Google, it will depend of your motherboard) 5/ When you are in Safe Mode, launch DDU, and remove your AMD Grapics driver 6/ Reboot in normal mode. 7/ Install the lastest AMD driver you have downloaded. 8/ Reboot Now you can test Polychrome. If it still not working, you can try to flash your RGB Firmware. The script will normaly now find your GPU. If not, contact Asrock support. You can re-enable auto install driver option in Windows, or keep it disable if you prefere. This solution was originaly found by NewGPU7 on this thread : https://forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=98466&title=issue-with-brand-new-7900-xtx A big thanks to him ! |
