I have been using a Z370 Pro4 without any problems for about
six years.

I have two 16GB G.SKILL ram modules installed in it, but I would
like to expand my memory to 64GB. The cheapest way to do this now
is to use two 32GB modules, but it is not clear that they would work.

G.SKILL's site does not list any of their 32GB modules in the
compatibility list, but perhaps they just haven't been testing
the newer modules in older motherboards. Nor does ASRock list
any 32GB modules on their page, but perhaps for the same reason.

I may have to go with four 16GB modules, which actually is a fair
bit pricier and a more difficult order as it has to be done
internationally.

Thanks.

I think with 9th gen CPU it could work with 32GB modules, but with 8th gen it's 16GB, so it would depend on the CPU you're using.

Look at LGA1151 wikipedia.

Thanks very much, I didn't think the CPU itself would be involved. I should have thought to look at all the components implied by the Z370 chipset.

Alas, I am using an 8th generation CPU.

I will try to find some deal with four 16GB modules.   There is a kit of Kingston Fury Beast (although would prefer Furry Beast) at Amazon right now.
