I understand that to power off USB devices when the computer turns off I have to enable the following from the BIOS: under ACPI -> enabling Deep Sleep -> S4 & S5 (need this to turn off the annoying led lights from my USB peripherals). Unfortunately that will also disable the WAKEON LAN feature which I use (to turn the computer on with network cable command). To enable the WAKEON LAN again, I would need to disable Deep Sleep. I cannot seem to have both i.e. power off usb devices when the computer is off AND have WAKEON LAN working. After doing lots of research I have come to the conclusion that it is impossible to do on this motherboard - alto some motherboards have the ability to separate these two functions, but not the one I bought. This is now my last resort - turning to this forum for help. Can anyone help me on this issue please? ASRock I hope you are reading this, would you please implement this feature in your next bios update? Only other method maybe is to turn off the usb power manually from my Linux OS when shutting down - but that seems quite complicated to do. |
