I'm trying to run hybrid graphics (use integrated and dedicated GPU at the same time) on this ASRock B550 Phantom Gaming 4/ac I just got and now I'm wondering if this is even possible. So far I can not get any video output on the motherboard HDMI port when my Nvidia video card is present.
I've got an AMD Ryzen 7 5700G CPU and Nvidia GeForce GTX 950 dedicated GPU. I have set the primary video device to integrated in the BIOS under the AMD PBS setup but that didn't seem to change anything. What I would like to achieve is plugging my single monitor into the HDMI port on the motherboard and using the integrated graphics by default for normal desktop stuff. Then when I want to run a 3D game I specify that the game should run on the Nvidia card but the output still goes to the motherboard HDMI port. I know someone who is pulling this off with an Intel CPU and AMD video card so it is theoretically possible. What I'm really wondering about is can this specific motherboard I have pull it off? Thank you. |
