I?™m working on a quasi-new build using a new (delivered today from Amazon) H370M-HDV motherboard. Intel processor is from a prior build with a Gigabyte LG1151-based motherboard.
PSU is new - Thermaltake 500 watts Memory is new - Timetec 32 GB (2x16 GB); DDR4 2400MHz PC4-19200 288 Pin Unbuffered Non-ECC 1.2V CL17 Dual Rank 2Rx8 based 1024x8 Using the motherboard VGA connection. Verified that monitor is working. Problem - no video output. PSU tester indicates that PSU is functioning as intended. All fans and lights function normally. Checked cables to ensure they were attached correctly. Discovered that motherboard was delivered with a dead CMOS battery. Removed battery and waited 15 minutes before inserting a new 2032 Energizer battery that I verified was ?˜good?? Still no display. Based on other posts I removed the new battery, shorted the CMOS jumper with a screwdriver, and am now waiting 4 hours (per other post) before reinserting the new battery. Could the dead CMOS battery have caused a problem with the BIOS? If so, how to make the needed update? Other suggestions? |
