Windows 11, new rig. Pico4 connects to MB WiFi as a hotspot via SteamVR. Every 30-60 seconds, the bitrate gets very poor, and the connection sometimes drops. The old Fritzbox works fine and has better latency, but not WIFI6. I want Fritz separate from VR. Any solutions, drivers should be autom. Installed...

I would open a support ticket with ASRock and ask them directly:
https://tw.asrock.com/events/tsd.asp

In my experience wifi issues like this tend to be caused by interference. All you
can do in that case is move other wireless devices away from the system and see if
it makes a difference. If the issue is driver or "other" related then you will likely
need input from ASRock's support staff.

Good luck.

What WiFi card did that motherboard come with?

My B850M-X WiFi came with MediaTek MT7922. It's a hit or miss, from what I see on various forums, so I replaced it with an Intel AX210. What's another $20, right?

To be fair, I'm not saying that MediaTek WiFi cards are broken, but many small vendors might only test with the most popular cards, which are obviously Intel cards.

It might also just be driver issue. I think the latest MT7922 WiFi driver is 3.4.0.1123, released some time in February of 2025.
