Hi, I?™m having blue screen of death issues with a new build that I?™ve just built.

Specs Asrock Steel Legend z890 Intel core ultra 7k 1851 Corsair vengeance 32x2 DDR5. Cmk64GX5M286200c33. Be quiet zone2 1000w psu Samsung 990 evo plus gen 5 nvme. Nocturnal MJ d15 g2 air cooler Month king 95 pro case

Every thing seemed ok building. Had issues with the RAM on power up. Kept getting error messages the system failed to boot several times before. You may press f2 or del to reconfigure your system. I couldn?™t run the RAM at default speeds. I tried reseating the RAM into slots A2 and B2. Ive done BIOS updates and those messages have gone but now I?™m having issues with BSOD installing windows. I?™ve tried different RAM speeds and no matter how much I under clock i still get BSOD when installing windows. If I ignore and push through with windows, it will install eventually. So far it hasn?™t BSOD in Windows yet. I can?™t run the RAM with the XMP settings at all. If I try it gets stuck in a BIOS restarting over and over. I tried some working memory from a socket 1700 CPU. But that refuses to work at all.

I can?™t see whats wrong with the build. All the CPU temps are all good . I?™m running onboard graphics I?™ve also tried removing all nonessential cables but nothing seems to help any ideas please thanks.

Whist waiting for the new RAM to arrive I?™m testing the old RAM in single channel mode and it seems to be working without issue. Managed to install Windows without any BSOD and no errors. So does this mean the board is faulty or a BIOS issue. I have the latest version. Any ideas? Thanks

Goods news. I?™ve got it running now with the new RAM installed. I?™ve swapped out the Corsair 6200mhz 64 gb with Crucial 6000mhz 32 gb and it?™s now working in XMP mode dual channel at 6000mhz.

Hello, how are you? How's the motherboard? I bought a z890 pro rs wifi motherboard.

Is it any good? Does it support Windows 10 or just Windows 11? Thank you, Marouk.

Hi. Yes, I like this motherboard, for me it was just really fussy about the RAM I used.

But since swapping Ram it?™s now stable and no more issues. My advice if you haven?™t bought it already, it?™s just pick your RAM very carefully. The original RAM I used which was recommended by the retailer for this motherboard just wouldn?™t run stably at any speed.

But since swapping to crucial RAM, everything is running very well.
I didn?™t see the point in installing Windows 10 as the support runs out later this year so I went straight for Windows 11 and I installed without issue included drivers for the LAN port which worked without issue. Hope your install goes smoothly. Please let me know how you get on once you build yours.

I have a 14th generation processor and it is stable. I bought a Z890 motherboard with 64GB DDR5 RAM at 6400 Hz. There are no problems with the Z790 motherboard. I am confused whether to install the new one or be patient.
