B550M Pro4 - M.2 Heatsink query

   Hi,
I have this Asrock B550M Pro4 motherboard. It has 2 M.2 slots.
Hyper M.2 PCIe4 and normal M.2 PCIe3.

The hyper M.2 has pre-installed heatsink. At present I don't have access to it as I am away for a few days. So I can't physically check.
However does the inside of the heatsink has a pre-applied thermal pad? 
I know you have to remove the plastic cover from inside but I don't know if it has thermal pad therein.

Alternatively if not, is it a good idea to place one thin thermal pad between PCIe4 SSD and the heatsink?
