Hi for all, i have a motherboard AM1B-M with HD 500 and configured BIOS SATA to IDE mode, but can't view the HD in Ubuntu instalation or live CD ( i test Ubuntu 14.04 and 16.04 LTS desktop and server versions).
the BIOS and Windows installations see the HD but i need install linux, anyone install Linux in this Motherboard? Thank's

Try disabling "Compatibility Support Mode" in the BIOS

Why are you using IDE mode? Did you try using AHCI mode and installing? Ubuntu has been able to use AHCI and even GPT for quite some time now. Try different settings in the BIOS for the hard disk and see if any of them work.
