just built my first desktop with a fm2a88x extreme6+ kavari chip 8 gb ram 1 tb hd
would like to install ubuntu until i get the ssd and graphic card put in then will install windows 7,8 or 10 idk should i update bios first or install ubuntu then update bios? do i have to reset the cmos first? any video links to correct procedure? thought this would be semi easy but afraid of screwing something up ![]() |

I would, seeings you just built it, update first.
Use the Instant Flash feature from within the BIOS itself to update. On you motherboards BIOS Download page is the latest Instant Flash file, and in that same row is a red box that if you click on it will detail the procedure. But IMHO DO NOT use the Windows Flash method. Windows has enough going on under its hood and happening in the background to be a reliable, foolproof, and anything but safe way to flash a BIOS. Instant Flash! |
