First time/long time.
Motherboard will not post to screen. Using the HDMI port on the MB to a working screen, no signal is being transmitted. Multiple HDMI cables were used and both ports on the monitor were used with no success. The red led check lights, on the bottom of the MB, cycle through, on then off, without issue. New parts: ASRRock Z790 Riptide MB Intel i5-13600K 2 x G.Skill Trident z5 DDR5 16GB 6000 F5-6000J3636F16GA-TZ5RK 2 x Samsung 980 SSD 1TB PCIe 4.0 M.2 I tried moving the Ram to different slots with different combinations, no success. This is going to be a clean install of Win11. Everything on the MB that is plugged in, turns on without issue. Should I remove the CMOS battery and reinsert or flash the BIOS? https://forum.asrock.com/smileys/smiley10.gif***I looked up how to flash the BIOS and I need VGA (working blind)***https://forum.asrock.com/smileys/smiley10.gif Sent in a technical issue ticket to ASRock for support but want to figure this out for me and others. I don't see a solution in the forums anywhere. Also, ASRock said to reach out to supplier, Newegg. I did and Newegg wants the MB back with a two week turnaround. I'd rather try and fix this issue. Fire! Need some advice! |

Do you have another display to test with? The vast majority of issues like this
on Z790 that I have seen have come down to a display issue, be it cables as you already tried or an older display that isn't supported properly by the onboard display output and iGPU. |

I tried several monitors, no success.
In correspondence with ASRock support, I was given a list of things to try, including: Resetting the BIOS Removing the CMOS battery Removing all MB from the chassis Removing all unnecessary equipment and firing up the system All above yielded unsuccessful results. I also tried a new PSU with the same results. Sending the MB back after Christmas break. |

**Post Update** (Pun Intended)
My issue has been resolved. Fired up the GPU and ran with that display to finalize the build. I tried updating the VGA through the available downloads but it's giving me some errors. Love everything else about this Riptide z790. Time to dabble around. |
