I recently purchased an Asrock WRX80 Creator R2.0 motherboard and installed a Ryzen Threadripper PRO 3945WX processor, alongside 4 x Samsung M393A1K43BB1 DDR4 ECC memory sticks. Furthermore, I added an Intel A310 GPU in PCIe slot 4 (x8).
According to the manual, an option called "Primary Graphics Adapter" is supposed to exist under the "Onboard Devices Configuration" tab in the BIOS; However, this option is nowhere to be found. I am currently running the latest BIOS FW, 8.03, but have also tried 8.01 and 6.09 (only other available versions) without any luck. Regardless of which settings I try to enable/disable in the BIOS, the "Primary Graphics Adapter" setting remains missing from the menu. The "Onboard VGA" setting is enabled and the built-in KVM/BMC works as expected when the A310 is removed. During boot (pre-post, the Asrock boot screen), the image is only displayed from the GPU. Once the BIOS has been entered, the image is then displayed on both the built-in KVM and the GPU. Once the BIOS is exited, the image returns to being displayed only on the GPU. I have already created a support ticket but thought that someone might have figured out what obscure setting I need to adjust in order to set my primary GPU to "VGA" and completely ignore my A310 - as I only use it for transcoding |
