My new Thunderbolt 4 AIC R2.0 configuration is not appearing in the BIOS Setup panel.
The card is slotted into the second PCIE lane. The USB cable is connected to the card and to the motherboard's. I didn't connect the TBT heaber cable to the card and to the motherboard's Thunderbolt AIC Connector because the motherboard doesn't have the labelled "TB_HEADER" pins. Is this cable required for using the Thunderbolt 4 Type-C connector? If that's the case, could we plug the cable on a GPIO interface on the motherboard? As described on page 42 of the motherboard's manual, I tried the default configuration for Intel. I have downloaded the Thunderbolt(TM) Controller software ver:Rev86_3 from the Thunderbolt 4 AIC R2.0 page. I connected the thunderbolt-enabled device to Port1 on the Thunderbolt 4 AIC R2.0. In the Thunderbolt Control Center, the thunderbolt device is appearing but as mentionned "not connected" because the Intel Thunderbolt configuration does not appear and I can't enable the thunderbolt function in the BIOS Setup. Here some information that might be helpful: Motherboard: ROBO-8113VG2AR-Q170 Thunderbolt card: Thunderbolt 4 AIC R2.0 Please let me know if you need any more information. Any help you can provide to allow my system to see my AIC would be greatly appreciated. I've seen a couple of posts from a few years ago but I'm not seeing a solution that I can replicate. |
