This is a new build with a Ryzen9 9950X. I just cloned my old M.2 to a new Crucial P510 Gen 5. Bios version is 3.20 in the mobo. The drive is installed in the M2_1 slot. When I boot into BIOS I can not see anything available to configure in the Boot section. When I look in the advanced section under storage configuration I see the drive in the NVME. I do not have any other drives connected to the SATA ports as of yet. What am I missing? Thanks

provided your 'cloning' was performed correctly, the NVME drive is detected - you are missing bootloader entries in the NVRAM.
i think ms windows EFI files were autodetected in some cases, but you never know, i dont have this system bare metal. it is suggested to rsync the files (or whatever you call that in windows - copy with permissions) than to clone sector-by-sector the ssd drives. Maybe it is confused by the weird partition table or something https://forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=92508&KW=GRUB&PID=192660&title=a620mhdv-m-2-fw-3-18-as01-no-boot#192660 |
