I wanted to upgrade the M.2 NVME SSD on my Fatality B450/ITX Mainboard. Unfortunately there seems to be a pin mismatch and thus most new SSDs aren't compatible anymore... Great Job Asrock..

Anyway, the SSDs listed to be compatible aren't sold anymore but I need a 2TB one.

Anyone found a current 2TB NVME SSD that is still compatible?

What pin mismatch?

I have a bunch of Fata1ity B450/ITX and X470/ITX boards (basically the same things, with the chipset swapped), and I've never had a problem with NVMe drives. I've had Samsung 970 PRO (512GB and 1TB), SK Hynix P31 (1TB), Crucial P5 Plus (2TB). I don't see why there would be any problems with newer NVMe drives.

Note, don't buy one with giant heatsink, because the m.2 slot is at the bottom of the motherboard. I'd stuck tiny heatsinks on mine before, because back-of-the-motherboard on most cases aren't cooled very well. I've even done custom hack to use some thermal pads and copper plate to turn the bottom of the case into a heatsink.

Read the link and this document:
https://www.asrock.com/support/qa/Technical%20NNotes%20-%20Storage%20Device%20Compatibility.pdf

It is known that Asrock B450 mainboards M.2 PCIe slot has problems with newer SSDs because of a different pinout.

If you google the issue you find many people facing issues.
