First of all, why are you posting a support question in a "Media&User's Review" sub-forum? Use the correct sub-forum.
Second, B850M-X does not support m.2 SATA drives on its m.2 slots. As the spec indicates, it only supports NVMe/PCIe drives: - 1 x Blazing M.2 Socket (M2_1, Key M), supports type 2280 PCIe Gen5x4 (128 Gb/s) mode* - 1 x Hyper M.2 Socket (M2_2, Key M), supports type 2260/2280 PCIe Gen4x4 (64 Gb/s) mode* If you have to use that old m.2 SATA drive with this motherboard, you can always turn it into a 2.5" drive, using an enclosure like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N6PMZLW?th=1 Note, I'm not endorsing that particular unit. I myself have one ICY DOCK version, but I see it's a bit more expensive than the Sabrant version. I also see an even cheaper no-name brand one. |
