I have a Fatal1ty X470 Gaming K4 with Ryzen 7 2700X that was running BIOS 1.40. The boot drive is a 1TB Crucial P3 NVMe and everything was working fine. I was considering updating from Windows 10 to Windows 11, so I thought I would get the BIOS up to date. I read all the descriptions and landed on BIOS 3.40 as the latest I could upgrade to, as my CPU is Pinnacle Ridge model. I first flashed 1.90 and that seemed to be fine with the PC booting up like normal. After flashing 3.40, the system just hangs on the splash screen and I can't even get into the BIOS. After reading a bit, I saw that there could be NVMe compatibility issues, so I removed the boot drive and the system would let me get into the BIOS. The BIOS instructions state that older versions cannot be flashed after flashing 3.40. Do I have any options at this point to get my machine booting again with my NVMe boot drive back in the machine?
Thanks! |
