I was unable to leave the RAM issue alone. I first, again after fixing the Windows issue, tried one chip in both slots. Worked. Then I tried the other chip in both slots. Again worked.

Then I put both chips in, but opposite from before. I swapped the slots for the pieces. Voila. Computer booted normally. Ran a memtest - no errors after four runs. But I have heard that memtest86 is unsuitable for DDR5 RAM, so I will keep testing the system.

Thanks for posting back,

Glad you got the memory problem sorted, makes me wonder if there's something else going on, there are a ridiculous amount of posts regarding memory/boot problems...

Enjoy your system....
